Ahan Hunter, M.D.

Dr. Ahan Hunter grew up in Charleston, SC. He earned his medical degree from the University of South Carolina – Greenville. Dr. Hunter’s areas of expertise include prenatal care, minimally invasive gyn surgery, high risk pregnancy, menopause, infertility, and vulvar care.

During residency, Dr. Hunter was recognized three times for excellent teaching of medical students. He was also nominated for Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society by medical students.

Dr. Hunter is a highly skilled and certified surgeon specializing in gynecological procedures using the state-of-the-art da Vinci robotic surgery system. With extensive training and expertise, Dr. Hunter has earned certification in performing these minimally invasive surgeries, which offer greater precision, reduced recovery time, and minimal scarring for patients. The da Vinci system allows for enhanced visualization and control during procedures, ensuring the best possible outcomes. Dr. Hunter’s commitment to utilizing cutting-edge technology ensures that his patients receive top-tier care with a focus on safety and optimal results.

Dr. Hunter oversees our comprehensive weight loss program at About Women Ob-Gyn, combining personalized care with medical expertise to help patients achieve sustainable results. Outside of work, Dr. Hunter enjoys traveling with his wife and playing drums and piano.
