Hector Colon, MDDr. Héctor Colón was born and raised in Puerto Rico. He received his bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Puerto Rico in 1994 and his medical degree from the Ponce School of Medicine in Ponce, Puerto Rico in 1998. While in medical school, he was honored at “Who’s Who” among students in American Universities and Colleges. He was also an honorable member of the medical honor society Alpha Omega Alpha.

Dr. Colón completed a four-year residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 2002. While in residency, he was honored twice with the Louis Gerstley III, MD award for demonstrating excellence in teaching medical students.

Board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Colón has special interest in high-risk pregnancy, minimally invasive surgery, hysteroscopy, and endometrial ablation. Dr. Colón has been in private practice since 2002; he is bilingual- speaking fluently both English and Spanish.
